and just to clarify, the video is a camcordered play at filmed at a playhouse in Detroit, MI, not a commercial video. I borrowed it from a friend. His copy was made from the original owner, who used DVD XCOPY (or whetever its called) for some reason...

thanks,

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but assuming it's a DVD-R/+R/WR, why not just duplicate it without reencoding/transcoding?

not sure i know what you mean.. I'll search the forum and tutorials/guides for more info.. I jsut know that i have does several flawless copies using DVDShrink 3. This is the only one that has ever given me a problem. Not sure what the deal is with the error message its giving me. I guess i could just try a straight copy using Nero, but the program they used split it into 2 discs, and iwas gonna shrink them and re-do to one...

lemme read up a bit more and see what i can find.

thanks,

The problem is probably in the ifo's. If 3.0b5 gives errors and the disc plays fine in a standalone it's usually the ifo or sometimes a funny vob. Try the same disc in dvdshrink 2.3 and I bet it won't give you an error.
You could decrypt to hdd with dvd decrypter (file mode), do the same for disc 2. Author your disc with those vobs and then compress with dvdshrink.
As far as I know dvdxcopy won't copy a disc created by dvdxcopy.
