I have never bought any slim dvd cases before.

Would the dual disk slim cases be as thin as the single slims?

Also, would someone please suggest a good site to purchase quality slims.

Thank you. :)

When you say slims are you talking about standard DVD clamshell (9/16" - 5/8" thick) or thinpak (3/8" thick)?

You can get double DVD cases the same thickness as standard. IMO the Amaray double, with the hinged tray in the center, is the best in terms of quality. You can get them for a little less than $1 each (bulk) at www.sleevetown.com, though sleevetown's shipping is a little steep.

I also like the double cases design from shop4tech. It's a cheap book style (disk on front cover and back cover) but the hub is a pretty neat push-down-pop-up type similar in function to Amaray's hub, but different. You can get them for about 40¢ each in bulk.

If you're talking about thinpak, the double is a little thicker than the single. I don't know how much thicker. Thinpak is available from sleevetown as well.

Shop4tech advertises a slimline case that's even thinner than a thinpak case, and they have both single and double cases. They claim that both the single and the double are 6mm thick (~1/4"), but I have no experience with these cases.

Be aware that shop4tech does not have the best reputation - I've seen many complaints about their shipping, service, and return policies, though I personally haven't had a problem with them. From my point of view, you're saving money ordering from them, but you run the risk of getting shafted and basically losing the money you spend - it's a gamble.

I got mine here:

Dual Slim Case - about 9mm or 1/3 less the size of a regular one (http://www.shop4tech.com/item1854.html)

On their site, it state 6mm, but they are indeed close to 9mm.

They work quite nice and they offer free shipping.
