Hi, after creating a movie only copy of a dvd with vobedit and ifoedit I have the problem that the chapters start at the wrong place and that the timecode is wrong (e.g. at the end of the movie it shows 1 hour 20 instead of 1 hour 50). In the original, everything is perfect.

What I am doing is the following:

- open the frist *.vob of the main movie titleset in vobedit
- demux multiple streams at once (all stream types), option split on new vob-id not set (what for is it?)

- open *.ifo of the main move titleset in ifoedit
- go to vts_ptciti/vts_pgc_1
- tools/save celltimes

- DVD Author new titleset in ifoedit
- add all streams i want to keep
- add celltimes.txt

- copy over subtitlecolors from old *.ifo

Am I something missing?

Thank you very much for any help

Some additional information:

- the chapter list from ifoedit and dvd decrypter have similar figures but they differ in the beginning with about 20 and in the end with about 500
- the chapter list from smartripper has completley different figures but if this one is used, the chapters are correct in the reauthored movie
- looking with ifoedit at the original and the reauthored, the chapter figures are different, however, as mentioned above, the copy also works correct
- the timecode is still wrong, regardless if the .m2v from vobedit or smartripper is taken
- in virtualdubmod, the .m2v has the correct timecode and jumps to the frames from the smartripper chapterlist go to the correct chapter points
- the original lenght is 01:49:59.29, the length of the copy is 01:27:58.12 (however, the copy plays back correctly until the end)
- stripping the main movie with ifoedit results in a main movie only copy with correct chapter points and timecode
- demuxing the ifoedit copy with vobedit and reauthoring with vobedit (i am adding an additional audio stream) results in the same problem.

I assume it has something to do with 2/3 3/2 pulldown (by the way it is NTSC.

I am using vobedit 0.6 and ifoedit 0.96

Are there any hints to handle this situation correctly.

I know this works since I tried it but can you try it too? http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=405202#post405202

@2COOL
What is described in this thread, shall I do it after authoring with IfoEdit? Does it actually copy the time tables from the original .ifo?

@all
- I have done some further testing. I have removed with pulldown the rtf flags, added again and authored. Same problems.

- I have authored the files with adobe encore. -> Everything OK!!!! (The problem here is that I cannot add easily the subtitles.)

- I also noticed, that on a dvd authored with IFOEDIT, i can only seek forward but not backward on my dvd player. This also happens when I have used a .m2v file which I have properly encoded with the mainconcept encoder.

- For me it looks like that IFOEDIT does not properly author!

It's a snippit of a guide I was trying to do after muxing the shrunk m2v back into the VOB using VOBedit 0.60. This way, subs are still intact and the Time table is correct. What you read so far is after the remuxing. Sorry for the confusion. When I have some time, I'll probably try to finish up the guide.

For me it looks like that IFOEDIT does not properly author! If you are doing NSTC DVDs, that's been a well-known fact since last year when IFOedit 0.95 came out. ;)
