Problems with Creature Comforts

This is the latest series shown on ITV.

I've tried ripping to hard drive using:

Smartripper 2.41
DvdDecrypter 3.1.7.0

Wouldn't play from hard-drive and as I thought when burned failed on PC & stand alone player.

As the disk is a single layer DVD 5 I tried a straight read / write with DVD Decrypter selecting ISO mode. No joy.

What am I missing?

The files on hard-drive won't play so I assume the problems is in decrypting.

I've backed up lots of titles & this is the 1st one I've failed on.

Any help much appreciated.

In what way does ISO mode not work? What exactly is the problem?

The disc is read to hard drive & writes ok, all files verify ok but when the disc is played it won't even get up to the main menu.

Try decrypting to hdd in file mode. Check vobs individually to see if they play. If they do play there might be a problem in the ifo's. Use Ifoedit and its "get vts sectors" option. Or, if you have dvd2one and anydvd try the combo and do a full disk backup. It shouldn't compress anything if it's a dvd5. That's how I've gotten around some similar problems. It wasn't a problem with dvd decrypter, but some funny/poorly done discs.
