On Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life (R1), I used menu edit to remove the special features button. However, it is not disabled if I let the menu-intro play; if I skip the intro by pressing 'next' or come back to the main menu after going to another menu, it is disabled as it should be. What is the cause of this, and has anyone else experienced it? (I'm hoping to get a few hints before diving back into the IFOs, although I did get it to load up exactly the way I wanted it to through some simple IFO edits :) ).

@OvERaCiD23

The unregistered version has a few quirks so my advice to you is to get the registered version. Your problem will be most likely be fixed. According the Dimad, MenuEdit's author, I beleive he mentions that if there were any few things to fix, he applied them to the registered version. Lots of happy customers on the other of the fence.

By the way, this post should've been posted in the IFO/VOB Editors forum. ;)

Thanks. Forgot about that forum, still getting used to this area of Doom9's board. ;)

MenuEdit does not play tricks with users, even unregistered (although I don't mind if you register:) ). I think what you are experiencing is duplicated menus. Sometimes there are copies of exactly the same menu which are played "on different occasions".

Of course if you need to remove button - you should do it in all copies.

What 2COOL is referring to is the fact that sometimes menu (a cell) is presided by a segment without buttons (don't ask me why they author such things) - unregistered version will not see buttons in such cells.
