Currently trying to create a dvd using "Roxio DVD Builder" using video clips gathered from a variety of sources.

Only problem is that the sound is not uniform across clips so it's really loud one clip then really soft the next, etc.

What would the easiest way to normalize (?) the audio across all the clips?

Hello, blargh

I see only one way : demux all, normalize all audios, re-author all...

ok, understand how to demux the audio.

But how to I normalize across all the clips? Combine them altogether, normalize then recut?

Hi -

There is no need to join the files unless you want to. So far you have not mentioned the audio format of these files, and it would get you a lot more help if you'd give us some more information. Besplit is a good tool for normalizing audio, see http://Besplit.doom9.org

Also see this recent thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65867) for some batch normalizing techniques. Please remember to respect forum rule #1.

Most of the audio is mp3 and mp2, and some is pcm.
