I am very interested in Is it possible to get only music from DVD? Ok, I know how can i get the audio or sound, but only music?

What kind of file is AC3? Is it containing 6 or 5 channel information or something? Maybe I can get Music stream from this file?

By extracting only music, do you mean like removing dialogue from background music?

If so, convert your AC3 to a WAV, and load in in Goldwave. One of the filters is to remove the dialogue. It doesn't always work (it varies on the type of WAV) but it has worked plenty of times for me.

AC3's depend on its source. It can be a number of different channels.

U could ask me: Why do i need this? My answer:
I collect soundtracks, scores (all music from films). There are some good score cd's like romeo+juliet, or moulin rouge, or matrix revolutions... But also there are some not good (i meen technically - duration less than 40min, bad fading between tracks, etc). So in these cases i try to make soundtrack on my own, by mixing original score from cd, music extracted from movie and some additional music. But sometimes i really need the pure high quality music without dialogues or sound effects... and that for i hoped the DVD will help me.

If you use Goldwave, it removes dialogue and sound effects, leaving pretty much only music. you CANNOT do the reverse, though. And it doesn't always work, but it has plenty of times for me (when I was making an anime fandub) and there was even a song i had that I was able to make a 99% perfect karaoke of.

What exactly I've to do? What is the name of this tool. Is it some kind of filter or something?
