GK slows down divx 5.1.1(????)

I used divx 5.1.1 with GK 0.28.3beta because this version is the only one really working without problems for me. I regret to say though that encoding with divx 5.1.1 took 8 hours (2 pass enconding, 120 min movie)whereas with 5.0.5 the same movie would encode in 3 maybe 3,5 hours. Is the old GK version preventing divx 5.1.1 from working fast or is there anything else i should know (like divx 5.1.1 sucks and it doesnt work as rapid as peopple at the divx group would like to think)

This is not a problem with Gordian Knot.

A cursory look at many of the recent threads concerning the release of DivX 5.1.1 talk about the new speed throughput of this updated codec. Basically, they've regeared what they call "standard" and "slow speeds"
