Hello!
Situation: I have a DVD disc with main moovie only - my DVD starts playing it automaticly when I put disc into it.
What can I do to disable automatic start?
And one more question - is there somebody who can tell me how put an image at start like: Press start to continue... (I put the disc, DVD doesn't start playing disc and at first displaying screen Press start to continue...).
Thanks.

What can I do to disable automatic start? In your VIDEO_TS.IFO / VMGM_MAT / First Play PGC / PGC Command Table, delete the pre-command that has "(Jump_TT) Jump to Title 1"

Thanks. You could do it by re-authoring. Look into DVD LAB or TMPGenc DVD Author as they can except VOBs without demuxing. Both have full working limited time trials for you to work with. My personal preference is DVD Lab.

Thanks a lot for your response...
By the way - what should I do if I want forbid the player automatic stop at the end of the moovie - I'm talking about situation when DVD after end of the moovie automaticly stops and starts display something as default screen or nothing... and I require, that DVD should go in PAUSE mode with last frame (picture) frozen. And after pressing STOP button definitely stops playing...

One more question...
What should I do to disable automatic strart in that case:
1.Pre Command If GPreg<0> == (cmp-val)<1><' then Goto line# 3
2.Pre Command (JumpTT) Jump to Title: 1
3.Pre Command (JumpTT) Jump to Title: 2
when I have got one moovie reauthored with DVDShrink (I have cut something from the inside of the moovie, and DVDShrink gave me 2 sets of VTS files...).
When I cut first JumpTT command - moovie starts from line 3, when I cut both JumpTT lines DVD player can't see second set of VTS...
Any suggestion?

This is what I would do with your split movie.
Since you have 2 halves of your movie in 2 Titlesets, just join them togther using this guide (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/joinclip.html) so that you'll have one set of Titleset VOBs.
Create new IFOs using this guide (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/createifo.html).
You should now have just a jump to Title 1 in your First Play PGC to delete.
But to answer your question upon disabling autostart, double click on your Number of Pre Commands in your First Play PGC and set it to zero and save IFO. This way, you'll surely get nothing playing upon DVD insert.

I have done this... I have created joined vobs as you suggested, but as always with wrong time indications, please see:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=65611
DVDShrink avoids that situation, but creates a few separated VTS - as many as required (in my case - 2). The DVD player behaviour is normal... In my opinion DVDShrink is worth using for this - better than join vob operation using VStrip or Vobedit...
And when I set to zero Number of Pre Commands in my First Play PGC - I realy disabled autostart, but I disabled access to second VTS also...
Is this hopeless situation? Or maybe there is another way, another usefull command which makes disabling possible...

So you splitted two cells at the end...hmmm...this is little more work but it should work but you'll start from the beginning. Use DVD DEcrypter to rip your movie VOBs only in File Mode and choose File Splitting "By Cell Id" in "Settings" on File Mode . When done, you should have your movie dissected into seperate VOBs which are your cells. Do your split procedure on your last two cells. Rename and join all the VOBs together with VOBedit. Create new IFOs with IfoEdit. Edit your First Play PGC.

I have got only ripped moovie... but why that kind of vob splitting and then joining it together is as that much complicated...? Maybe this is a little suggestion to the all the programmers who delivery to us they greatest programs to implement possibility joining together partially cut vobs with corrected time indications. I think mostly about application like VobEdit or VStrip... It will be very usefull in my opinion... There are a lot of films, in which, when we only partially cut end credits, they perfectly fit on one DVD-R disc without any advanced reauthoring (using CCE or Tmpeg)...
Or maybe this is as much simple as complicate... I don't know...
But thank you 2COOL for your help... I finally resign with disabling automatic start, but as always I have learned something more...
