OK, how do i go about compileing legend of walverine, as dif4u untick some pgc because they have the same vobids.I.E. PGC 1 and 11 are the same except pgc 11 has 4 audio tracks and pgc has 3.So after scenarist recompiles do i have to delete the dummy pgc1 and replace it with the new encoded pgc11 but just delete the 4th audio track.??

Also dif4u untick 4 other pgc as they use ids that pgc 1 and 11 use.i.e. one use's 6,7,8, and is about 19mins, the next use ids 9,10,11 andis 19 mins.What do i do to replace these ??

Im sure this aint a seamless branching disc, i think its just a playall disc as dif4u has down.

Also i tryed to run scenarist before encoded to see what the layout louted like and scenarist to so far then crash's this has'nt happened before, but ive never tryed copiling without re-encodeing first.

i would assume that the extra audio track is 'present' in pgc1 its just not selectable. so dont delete it from the track or it wont be there in pgc11.
without watching the movie or seeing the full ifo its hard to know but i would guess that it is the 4th audio that plays automatically when you select to play pgc 11 (as either additional comments over the audio you can select, or as a 'forced' audio).
as for the other pgcs its a simple matter of deleting the dummy pgcs that ReAuthorist creates and dragging the corresponding tracks into the appropriate pgcs to create the correct chapters and cells.....use your ifo layout for this and DONT forget the layer breaks (note: if you had posted this as an addendum to your previous query i could have given you an example....)
....or you may be able to use the adjusted cell mode in ifoupdate (had mixed success with that myself, so i prefer to recreate it all in scenarist and use standard mode)

The 4th audio track that aint on pgc1 is the directors commentary.So it needs to be there on pgc 11 but not in the pgc1 track.

What about pgc ,7,8,9,10.There sorter but use use vobids that are in the long track(pgc11).How do i recreate them with the re-encoded pgc11 after deleting the dummy file ?

PGC11 use's ids 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18

PGC7 uses 6,7,8
PGC8 uses 6,9,10,11
PGC9 uese 6,12,13,14
PGC10 uses 6,15,16,17

Because from my understanding i can do this dvd by PGC demux, by just re-encodeing the one long track and recreating the other tracks with it.Now i get how to do the 1st PGC as its the same apart from the DC audio track, but i dont get how to recreate the shorter tracks with the one long track.

PS what did you mean by ' dont forget layer breaks '. The layer breaks use ids 20+ and on the sorter tracks theres two layer breaks.

okay well lets try to recreate pgc 10!
from the ifo we can see the Vob-IDs re-used and how to set them out:
so after deleting the dummy pgc, you drag and drop the track with VobID 6 onto pgc_10 (which creates chapter 01) then drag and drop the track with VobID 15 onto the CHAPTER you just created giving you Cell02 as shown in the IFO layout.
then drag track VobId 16 onto pgc 10 to create chapter 2.
then drag track Vobid 17 onto pgc 10 to create chapter 3.
then drag track Vobid 20 onto pgc 10 to create chapter 4 - i know its not Vobid 24 but it is a layer break with the same length so it will work (alternatively you could create Vobid 24 etc with 'nothing' clips from trilights site (here) (http://dvdguides.trilight.net/) which, incidently, also has a tutorial showing you how to do something similar in the 'insomnia' notes guide.

repeat this process for the other dummy pgcs

ps as the tracks used to create pgc 1 are the SAME as pgc 11 i would not go deleting the 4th audio track as then it wont be present in pgc 11.

pps from what i understand these layer breaks are referenced to by the VMG to tell the DVD where to go after it has finished playing that pgc, so you need to have them present, you just dont need the 'correct one' which is why DIF4U doesnt select it for you, clever program that it is :D

OK i recreated pgc1 by copying pgc 11 in scenario and replacing the deleted dummy file with it.

But im stuck on how i recreate the other shorter pgc that use the ids that pgc 11 use's. Do i do it in the scenario editor, or the track editor ??

This might be a matter of definitions but: it is seamless branching. You have a seamlessly branched disc when pieces of video are reused within multiple pgcs of the same titleset.

You're right about this when the title is demuxed by VOBID. In this case I think that's not what happened. Master Yoda could clarify this, but I think it's just demuxed by PGC and RA is used afterwards.

So in this case there's no vobid6 in the track editor. In fact there's only one track I think being PGC11.

But anyway to answer the question: you shoulk recreate those other short pgcs by using pieces of pgc11. You do this in the scenario editor.

first you delete the dummies and then in the bottom right click on the + before pgc11 (tab tracks). Now you drag the needed cells in correct order onto pgc 7,8,9 and 10.

And regarding to that extra audio track in pgc11: you have setup one track (pgc11) and copied that to pgc1 right? Well that's enough. No need to delete the audio or anything. It's like Jel said it won't be selectable. There's only one but to this. if you have the setting copy audio and subpics on in ifoupdate it will get selectable. In this case open up your ifo after ifoupdate. Got to VMG_PGCITY pgc 1 and change the value of audio stream 4 to 0. EDIT: (or if I think about it. You can also click on the titlesymbol of pgc1 and then in the bottom center screen go to audio stream selectabiliy or so. Don't know the precise name. and choose custom and uncheck stream 4 that should do it as well).

OK thanks for your help, but i still need a little bit more.

OK i see how i drag and drop from the tracks part in the bottom right.I also figured out that to have 4 programs and 5 cells i drop the first track onto the vts01_title7, then the 2 track i drop on the first program then the last tracks i drop onto the first pgc.

The thing i dont know how to do is this, i have to make 4 pgcs from the one big track, but theres only 15 cells in that track box in the bottom right. And to recreate the same structure as the original ifo theres 4 programs and 5 cells. So how do i get this bit right

If we take the above pasted example of pgc 10 you would drag chapters 1, 10, 11, 12 and 14 (I think for the layer break) to pgc 10. that chapter 10 is only a cell in pgc10 so you don't drag it directly to the pgcsymbol but to the previous chapter symbol. That way you create a cell that's all.

I think ive got it now.

The first pgc i have to make i use the first 4 cells and the last cell as thats a 15 frame layer break.the next one i use the first cell,then the 5th 6th and 7th plus the last one again, then the next would be the first cell, and the 8th 9th 10th and the last cell again. then the 4th pgc is the 1st ,11th,12th 13th and th last cell again.

I would do this as the first cell is use in each pgc and each pgc use's a layer break at the end of it, in the case of the origianl its ids 20 +, so when rebuilding i use the last cell which in the ifo is a layer break and is id20 at the end of each of the new pgc ive made up.

I only can judge about pgc10, the other ones I do not have info about, but I think what you said is true. You just use the layer break of pgc11, this should do fine.

OK thanks.At first i thought it would be really hard to put back together but at the mo it does'nt seem as bad as i thought.

OK, ive rebuilt it and run ifoupdate. The only thing is theres layer breaks in the 4 sort pgc that i made from the one big one.The two big pgcs dont have any layer breaks . How do i fix this ??

Its ok i figured out how to remove the layer break, i found it under 2Cools guides list.I just have to change a value in the ifo.
