just curious. I was using DGBob (doubles fps) to deinterlace a tv capture for svcd .. but when i went to mux the video with the audio, it was reporting only 29fps? Doesn't this filter double frames to deinterlace?
Thanks,
Jerets =)

I'm not sure if SVCD supports higher framerates than 29.97 fps.
What framerate is listed in Virtual Dub (File / File Information) of the source AVS?

ok, then my question is how did DGBob deinterlace my rip? Doesn't it double the frame rate to do so? I'm capturing in vdub at 29fps
Thanks

Hi-
DgBob(Order=1,Single=False) is doublerate. It's also the default.
DGBob(Order=1,Single=True) is for the original framerate.
And as Shodan said, open the script in VDub to be sure.

why not encode the SVCD interlaced? you'll get a smaller bitrate (than twice the frames) and no artifacts.
depending which encoder you use, either set it "interlaced" or "alternate scan" (rather than "zigzag scan").
of course, field order is a right royal pain, so make a short test on a re-writable SVCD and test it on a real TV.
