green slime needed

hello!

as you have experienced (i think most of you have), when sometimes you watch divx/xvid movie, some frames freezes and it makes green slime all over the screen.. some picture stays still and other move inside of it and whole compilation is one green motion blur where you can hardly see whats going on...

my QUESTION is that. how to do it. how can I make a movie do like that.. please understand .. I DON'T WANT TO GET RID OF IT.. i want to know how to make situation like that.. i need my movie get blurry like that... you think maybe im some kind of masochistic freak, but its up to you ;).. can anyone help me in this?

plus there is some else.. i want to record it afterwards into some uncompressed AVI so it stays like this (this blurry motion clip)

I think there's no particular answer. Try playing with several codec packs, different versions of codecs installed together, simply trash down your system and eventually you'll get what you need ;)

well yes.. but if there is anyone who could be more particular or straight.. i would be thankful :)

get an editor (e.g. ultraedit) and open a copy (!!!!) of the file. (rename to *.dat). now you can mess arount with the values.
most likley your player will refuse to play it. So you might want to use VideoLAN to play it or reencode it with VDub (error mode)

This is caused by old builds of the XVID/FFDShow decoders playing newer XVID/DivX content. I don't think there is any particularly reliable way to introduce it intentionally unless you were to encode some DivX 5.1.1 content then change the FourCC to XVID, then install an old build of the XVID decoder (such as from Nimo's pack).

Why don't you use a hue-shift filter and some warping filters?

well warping and hue shift filter probably wont give such a chaotic effect i need.. it must be a sort of unpredictable green faulty mess..

but ok.. as i understand this, that I encode some clip which is in uncompressed AVI, into the latest XVID.. uninstalling that xvid.. opening some older nimo pack (such as 7 or smth) and installing XVID from there into my system.. then starting the clip i encoded before.. and it will be blurry and then i can save it in virtualDUB back as uncompressed AVI??? and it stays like this? after switching codecs again..?

or should i definitly do something with fourCC??

point why i ask before i try is that there is always some mess going on with codecs if you once install or uninstall them ;)
