Has anyone tested this one?

Looks very promising!

What version did you use? Mine is 6.5 alpha (the only one available)

Yes, it does crash a lot (I've used the same version). However, when it does work, the quality is very good. We'll have to remember that it's alpha so crashes are more common than a working encode;)
Here's some more discussion about the codec:

It often crashes, it is very fast and the qulity is awesome... bad. Oh, and it looks like a very old Version of the Main Concept Encoder.

I don't know which of the two came out first, but the first time I used
MainConcept it looked like a faster version of bbmpeg.
How many fps do you get(and at what resolution) ?
It seems it doesn't do 2 pass encoding, right?

Yes, no 2pass (yet?).
On my Machine at Home, it crashed all the Time. So i have only Results from my old, slow Office-PC (P3 800MHz).
9 fps converting a DivX-Movie (640x480) to Half-D1 (352x480) using VirtualDubMOD with Bicubic Resize (0.7).

Don't get me wrong, but when someone says this:
"Quality is excelent, and I dare to say that it's superior to TMPEG and CCE ( put together )"
It makes me have a few doubts about the integrity of this project. I can't get it to encode anything that will give me an accurate quality gauge though, so anyone that has care to comment about that statement? As far as I know, there will be no major breakthroughs in software mpeg2 encoding that will bring about THAT much of a quality difference. I could be wrong I'm just speculating.

I did try this program and though it worked (no crashes), the result was
a mess (bad quality).
I think the concept is promising (using virtualdub/mod to create an mpeg - the avi is just a dummy file). It needs a lot of development.
edit: To be fair (I checked the link), he did say that it crashes a lot, is buggy, and that it will be good when it hits prime time (not now).
