please help with tron

hey all...i've tried to rip tron about 30 times now. seems to put a lot of keyframes together..i've tried everything i could think of to make it look good but it keeps coming out ugly. since it's mostly animation should i be using a custom matrix for animation? or does anyone have any suggestions? thanks KroniK

I had no problem at all with that movie, it looks fine even with older unstable dev-api-3 builds.

Maybe you're doing something wrong, can you post your settings (as described in the forum's sticky - if you need help, post your settings and programs/software used).

i tried to rip the making of from the special edition and had problems also. it was abotu 90 minutes long but gknot told me it was about 140 minutes and my audio was also the same size. head ac3 denied encoding the ac3 and besweet skipped a lot of audo frames.

i use smartripper, dvd2avi 1.76, avisynth 2.52 or 2.51, vdub mod, and gordian knot for a few small calculations...xvid codec is your newest ;)

i'd recommend rereading the faq's and whatnot, so you can learn how to properly IVTC your source, and learn the importance of not "overfiltering"

i seriously doubt tron is pure ntsc, nor needs that many calls to undot()

you might want to put give the default settings in xvid a shot too, i only make minor changes, and get excellent quality

Yes, I agree. Don't mess with the default settings. I've ended up with far worse if I did.
