HEllo everybody!
I need some help. please reply! :-)
I ripped a DVD (bulletproof monk)to my HD using smartripper.
I want to burn it to DVD-R but I get some strange errors.

First I can't playback the DVD from the HD. I tried PowerDVD and WinDVD and no one works! They both crash while trying to play the ripped files. All I get is the initial logo...and when it gets to the DTS logo, it blocks...than after a few seconds it passes to the menu, and when I press on "play movie" it crashes!

So I created an iso file with NERO (starting from the ripped files on the HD), mounted it with daemon tools, and tried to playback it again. Also this did not work! I tried to rip it again from the virtual drive of daemon, hoping that with other ripping/decrypting programs it will work, but I allways get the same error.
What's the problem? I really cannot understand WHY this does not work! I also used Ifoedit with it's "DVD-play" function to view the DVD content, but all I get is the initial logo...and when it gets to the DTS logo, it blocks...than after a few seconds it passes to the menu, and when I press on "play movie" it crashes! the same situation as in the DVD player softwares I tried!
Is it a matter of codecs? Protections? Encryptons? or ripping problems?
I used smartripper (in backup mode) and everything went ok!
I have already ripped other DVD-s and it always worked!

And while I can't playback the ripped DVD from my HD I can't burn it on DVD-R because I get a DVD-R project that does not work!
I have already tried to burn it to a DVD-RW and I get the same problem...IT BLOCKS and makes the program crash!

Please HELP ME!
I'm desperate....

Do I need to rip the DVD again?
Or can I correct the problem on the existing file son the HD?

Thanks for U all!

Hello

As I remember it, backup rip won't decrypt VOBs, just copy them. Maybe you were lucky with your previous rips. Try ripping again with movie option, or check your settings.

Maybe you could try another ripping program too...just to see if it makes a difference?!

Use DVD Decrypters 'ISO Read' mode. Mount the ISO in DAEMON Tools as you did with Nero's image and try playing from the virtual drive again.
