why is it my movie isn't sync with audio, if i'm using divx audio 64 kb/s and mux using nandub or virtualdub ?

because of that i'm always muxing my movie by using Blacksun's DVDreaper mux. whereas DVDReaper is using virtualdub to mux my movie. maybe you guys could explain the correct setting for muxing.
thank u.

divx audio is just oldschool WMA, isn't it? or did i miss something?

i got better quality out of LAME to be honest.

In that case, why you didn't just use VirtualDub to mux video & audio together. You also can set the delay time before multiplexing as well. Have a look here (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm).

but divx audio could reach 64 kb/s with freq 44 kHz, others can't like Fraunhofer MP3. that's why i like it. i don't know with lame, i just don't have time to try lame :D

i've just been tweaking LAME and managed to get near transparency at 96kbps... ("near" transparency means not puke worthy on my Koss R-80 headphones, which is my test of any audio. there's still a "hollowness" to it, but less so than WMA).

at 64 it might just fall to pieces, but then it sounds better than WMA9 (at least the one that comes with the WM encoder redist pack) at 96.

i'll try it at 64 and see if it's acceptable, and if it is i'll post my settings :)

[edit] are we talking stereo here? LAME doesn't support IS stereo, and 64kbps i just found is when it REALLY needs it :)

[edit edit] yeah, after playing with it a while... i think LAME's limit is about 80kbps. but it sounds great in mono at 64 (could probably manage 56, but i wouldn't go lower)

[edit edit edit]

here's my commandline for 96kbps if anyone's interested... just put it all on one line and substitute file names (of course):

"lame.exe" -m j -d --athlower -10 --short
--verbose -q 1 -b 96 --lowpass 15 --resample 44.1
--nspsytune --nssafejoint --ns-bass -.5 --ns-alto .5 --ns-treble
-1.5
"infile.wav" "outfile.mp3"

If you want to go as low as 64kbps, just use either OGG or AAC.
