VD freezes every time

Hi!

I have a big problem with Virtualdub, every time I try to encode a file the whole computer freezes within the process. The time it freezes is random, and this happens with every codec. What could it be?

Do you set process priority higher than default ?

If you set to higher then the mentioned problem can occur in single CPU machines.
