View Full Version : VirtualVCR Manual Channel Frequency Tuning?

I've noticed that some of the channels that I try capturing are less than average quality. I've read a little bit on the VirtualVCR forum about messing with the registry to set the frequencies manually but I got completely lost and didn't even see what they had on there:
http://virtualvcr.sourceforge.net/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=600&
And here's a link they had to another site that talked about editing the registry and had a pic that my registry didn't look like:

So anyways, I was wondering if anyone on here has attemped this and if they had any success doing so. Some of these channels are BAD quality, with static and I would like to fine-tune the stations. Thanks!

I havn't done this.

However, Arachnotron posted some helpful links on the same topic just a few posts back.

thanks for pointing out that post...It didn't come up on my VirtualVCR search in the forum. I'll fool around with that and see what results i can get. The only thing that is weird is that when using DScaler to get the frequencies, the channel "The WB" (which has Angel on it! :D ) doesn't come in on the tuner. Dscaler jumps from channel 11 to channel 13. And that channel 12 was the channel with the really bad noise when I was capturing. I'll try to work on this more tomorrow. thanks again!

I think I messed up the settings when I was fooling with the manual frequencies...is there anyway to override the manual ones I entered? I tried doing the auto scan on VirtualVCr but that didn't have an effect at all. I also tried to put the old reg. key in there but to no avail either.
