I've searched the forum for numerous combinations of text but I havent found the answer to my question.

In VirtualDub if you go to the video menu there is a compression option (Ctrl+P). I was wondering if theres a mod out for Nandub to allow this option to exist. I usually encode and work with Nandub so having to install virtualdub and use it just for that one specific feature is a little anoying. Im wondering if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Hello Dot50Cal and Welcome to Doom9's forum,

Nandub was developed for using SBC method of video compression.[http://www.doom9.org/sbc_main.htm]
That is Nandub only supports two codecs divx3.11 and MS-MPEG4 v3. You cannot choose any other codec.

The purpose of Nandub was using these codecs, Obviously you cannot select any other codecs.

Yes I know this, however I dont think it would be too hard for someone who is well versed in coding to add that option into Nandub, Right? I mean afterall it is made off of virtualdub. Thanks for the reply.

The "well versed coders" already done that and made another Vdub derivative called VirtualDubMod. Except the SBC feature that Nandub gave, VDM has numerous new features including the other features of nandub.
