Dear members,

in the german doom9/Gleitz forum, I recently wondered if there is any DirectShow splitter filter which is able to demultiplex PVA files (because some people complained blocky video, and we discussed if it could be an MPEG player which does not know how to handle PVA).

After a quick Google lookup it looked like some Elecard filters (e.g. Moonlight XMuxer) shall be able to do that; does anyone have some experience with it?

just used Xmuxer to remux some mpeg streams but never on pva streams,.. I just realised that I got an old "Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder ver 2.00" in my 'Kleinzeug' folder which contains a pva_dmx.ax, if you want it I can send it to you ;)

Cu Selur

Hi,

There's no usable PVA source filter yet. The ones that do exist are either severely buggy (A/V desync) or severely limited (no seeking).

The radlight guys are working on one. No ETA available, though:
