Hi,

I didn't know where exactly post my message, so I'm here.

- I've recorded movies from Sat TV (DVB src).
- But I have on the upper right corner, the name of the tv channel (example : premiere)
- I'd like to remove this ads\publicity\logo

I think the solution is to crop the black bands and to regenerate them.
But how can I do that without re-encoding all the video (and loosing image quality) ?

Thanks for your help.

You can not crop without re-encoding, but you could use a black
rectangle as a forced subpicture, if you donīt need subtitles.

After reading guides, it seems that only Scenarist and DVDMaestro can includes subpic.

For the moment I'm trying to use DVDMaestro.

you could use a black rectangle as a forced subpicture, if you donīt need subtitles.
Well, I won't create 2 black rectangles (at the top and bottom of the pic).
I'll try to create only 2 blacks areas that will mask logos\ads.

do you think it's a good solution?

if on the other hand u do need subs u can incorporate these bars on each subtitle u will need.
