Best tool for "Main Movie only"?

Hi

One simpel question:

What is the best tool to use if you want to make DVD-9 to DVD-5 with the main movie only (no extra material/menus)

Quality is more importent than speed !

dvd2dvd using cce is by far the best quality. Using it for all my backups unless I don't need to re encode I use dvdfab.

:), simple question, difficult answer as the combinations of movies, tools, setups, people's perceptioons of quality and eyes viewing the final DVD are limitless. You will always get a difference of opinion and that why it's in the rules not to ask which is best (EDIT: it's gone!, is this not a rule anymore or was it never a rule?. I also did a search for 'best' in this forum and it comes up with no results!?!?!, in fact all the forums give no results :) lol)

anyway, how about rejig seeing as CCE has already been quoted?

though you say quality isn't as important as speed. I think it's still good quality judging by what I've heard

maybe on the smaller movies rejig might be your 2nd choice if quality is a big factor in deciding which menthod you choose ;)

I doubt you could tell the difference on a movie requiring a 5% reduction, probably more during normal playback

the same probably goes for DVDShrink (deep analysis) and Instantcopy regarding DVD's that require very minimal reduction. There will also be other tools but I don't want to list them all and be greedy ;)

but then again to each his own' regarding quality loss and at the end of the day it's best you try all the suggested tools and make your own mind up :)

DVD2DVD-R (from dvd2dvd-r.de).

At least for PAL movies it works perfectly.

And now it even has an integrated transcoding engine.

The site is in german, and you have to register to download it, but it's easy to do so.
