Alongside the release of DivX 5.1.1 today we posted a full user guide (116 pages/~6MB) that covers the history of DivX, some basic concepts, encoder features, the EKG, the decoder, and a quick-start guide for use in conjunction with VirtualDub.
If you've ever wondered what a particular feature does, how it works or how to make the most of the DivX tools then its worth taking a look.
You can get the guide here:
http://www.divx.com/support/guides/DivXGuide51.pdf
You will need Acrobat Reader 5 to view it (free).
The guide is orientated at newer users so some Doom9 regulars may find it a little over-simplified in places, but we welcome any constructive criticism and suggestions for future revisions.
Thanks all!
