Hi guys,
i got a little problem with my new project Sleepers. In the authoring process, scenarist 2.7 isnt able to finish the dvd-video because there are two files missing in "\sleepers Cache\Encoded Files" dir : VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_346.sp & VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_1365.sp. But the subtitles in "\VTS01\subs\" dir VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Francais_0346.bmp & VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Francais_1365.bmp are there.
I reencoded the movie 3 times with no success. Can I convert the two *.bmp files in two valid *.sp files ?
Is there a working solution ?
thks for your help

The most simple solution would be to delete the two subs form your sst file and reimport them (or simply delete them form the sub track if you can find them).

Double clicking on them should get them encode to sp file as well. But they are probably hard to find between all of the other subs.

Hi,
thks for your help but the trick doesnt work for me.
here is the scenarist log :
"Info Encoding subpicture J:\SLEEPERS\VTS01\SUBS\VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01\VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Francais_1366.bmp
Error Can't encode. The bits compressed for one line is more than 1440.[Subpicture Encoder]
Info Encoding subpicture J:\SLEEPERS\VTS01\SUBS\VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01\VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Francais_0347.bmp
Error Can't encode. The bits compressed for one line is more than 1440.[Subpicture Encoder]"
The two *.sp files missing in "\sleepers Cache\Encoded Files" folder are the VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_1365.sp & VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_346.sp, not VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_347.sp & VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-Franc_1366.sp
any clue ?

Hi influenza,
what do you mean by "Double clicking on them should get them encode to sp file as well" ?
i cant find anyway to convert them to *.sp files.
BTW I process my subs with vobsub 2.23.
Have i to use another soft to do this job ?

No forget my remark on that, doesn't work.

What also work is do a search on your error: The bits compressed for one line is more than 1440

It will give you some results.

Most easy way is to just leave the sub out.
