Discreet Cleaner XL

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to pit Cinemacraft Encoder against Cleaner XL? I'm not as concerned with speed as with overall image quality. Sources are usually from a hi-q DV camera or HDTV programs recorded. I encode to DVD. If anyone has a website that might talk about what I'm asking about, please list here.
