Movie not running smooth with wireless link ?

Does someone know why movies is not running smooth with wireless link from my server to my laptop I have win 2000 pro installed. When I try with XP it's working great mayby some driver is missing for win 2000 . Im using 11 Mbps Dlink,

I have heard of people having really bad performance trying to play movies over wireless because of dropped packets and such. Perhaps Windows XP just does a better job of caching?

I had a similar problem using blue tooth , although blue tooth is quite new and not really meant for pc2pc, but game performance / file transfer was bad. make sure there is nothing in between the 2 devices and i think maybe XP is maybe just allot better at handling wireless devices / transferring of data.
