View Full Version : How do I create chapter stops every 5 secs in Scenarist without spending a whole week

I have 300 nice photos which I want to make them into a DVD. Since they are named in numbering ascending order I imported them easily into a NLE software (Vegas) and made a DV .avi file with each pic lasting 5 seconds.
I then encoded this .avi with CCE (CBR 8Mbs) and actually spend a whole night creating an .ecl file with chapter info for CCE (I use EclCCE) for every 5 seconds.

Now in Scenarist I want to create chapter stops every 5 secs as well. I know how to do it manually but it will take so long to do it. Is there another way to create them automatically such as the way we use the software Scencap and import them in the Scenarist script file?
Thanks in advance

Can you convert this cce chapter file to a format that scenchap will accept? If so do this and you'll be set.

Or create a txt file with the scenarist chapters, which would not be to difficult as well (maybe some excel sheet, converted to text)

took the liberty to make you a chapters file, using some basic excel functionality (time etc) and some concatenating about 5 mins of work. I can send it by mail if you wnat it. Let me know.

Yes please send me the file. I have sent you a PM with my email.
But I think this will not work with Scenchap since it accepts .ifo files from ripped dvds to modify the Scenarist script file concerning the chapters. I have to dig deeply into the software to find out in what way it modifies the script file.

It's on it's way.

You don't need an ifo to get it to work.

1)create your track in scenarist
2)export your script
3)drag this exported script into scenchap
4)open the txt file I sent you
5)paste the chapter info onto the correct tab in scenchap
6)export the new script
7)import into scenarist

8)that's all ;)
