Dvd-R freezing up...

Shrunk and burned a copy of the episodes of "24" and in the 3rd episode the picture starts to digitize with blocks showing and then freezes. The disc will not go past this point. I am using Shrink 3 Beta 5 and Ritek 4X discs, burned at 2X. THe first couple episodes on the disc are fine.

Can anyone help with this one....I am getting sick of creating $2 coasters.

Are you using CD-Labels?
I think that could be the problem.

There seems to be a common quality problem with RITEK G04 at the moment.

I heard several other people complaining about that in other dvd-related forums and I also experienced it myself with my RITEK04's: burning's no problem (4xspeed using TEAC DV-W50E), but at the end I get freezing/stuttering on some burned discs when watching them on my SA-Players (SEG Beverly Hills II and Pio 444).

It's not that all RITEK04 in general are crap, but at the moment there may be some charges that are not manufactured very well or whatever.

I'm quite sure it's a media problem and has nothing to do with DVDShrink.
