Hi all,

Trying to make a demo disc with various thx, dts demos on it.

Here is what I have done....

1st dvd shrink indvidual selections out of each disk (ie. thx demo)
2nd used DVD2AVI to extract them
3rd recompressed to mpg with TPeng
4th threw them all into Maestro

This all worked except the video quality was not so good. I spent a bunch of time on these forums working with settings.. being that they are almost always different with each clip, finally got some to look pretty good.... still not perfect.

Here is my idea and hopefully someone in "the know" can tell me if it is possible. What I have done is after compiling my dvd I replace the same video.vob files with the original (renamed to match) files. I went into IFOedit and did the vts sectors.

It mostly works except now it only plays half of the clips. but the clips look awesome.

Can someone tell me what settings in the IFO's I need to change to accommodate these new file. They will be equal in length but some times double the size(mb).

Thanks in advance and sorry so long

looks like you are doing it the long way,

use dvddecrypter in ifo mode to demux the cell that contains the 'demo', and it will save a m2v and ac3 (or dts) file for you to import directly to dvdmaestro

Or just use DVDShrink re-author mode without compression.
Quality will be original.
