Incredibly, I am getting the error "Couldn't find appropriate video codec for 'dvsd". Which doesn't mean, I don't have one installed, just that cce couldn't find it, right?

My rig, is "full" of codecs, if you will. XVID, the regular ones that come with WMP (8, not 9), QT... etc. And, K-Lite Codec v 2 full. Would seem that I "have what I need", wouldn't it.

Note, this has happened ONLY after my yearly reformat. Clearly, something has been left out.

Any leads?

Er... I am not completely sure, of what you are saying, so, can we please take it from the angle that I am a complete NoOb when it comes to errors? Without being a NoOb when it comes to encoding.

I did manage to find a solution for it, by installing another DV codec, or two. Don't understand why it was necessary, however... it is, solved.

I have been a member here for a while, without actually posting. I appreciate, that I am not contributing to the betterment of the forum. However, the forum has certainly helped me a great deal this past year.

If I have a problem, I come here, search, read up, and solve it. This time, it took me a little longer.

I am grateful, for the site.

Welcome!

It's just a matter of knowing what to search for. In this case 'dvsd' should have been enough.
