Hi @ll,

I hope you can help with this issue.

I bought an external audio device, Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB for my laptop. When I watch DIVX/AC3 movies I just get stereo audio on my connected audio receiver (Denon 1603). It does not seem to be a hardware issue because DVD's of the same laptop and same drive can listened to in Dolby Digital.
I am using Windows XP SP1 english.

It does not make a difference if I either use the audiofilters.zip, which can downloaded from doom9.org, or the ac3 filters from ac3filter.sourceforge.net.
Besides I tried unsuccessfully Windows Media Player, Power DVD 5, Intervideo WinDVD 4 and WindDVD 5 and BSPlayer.

Any help is appreciated!!

cheers,
Frank

If you are using ac3filter,then you need to configure the speakers.Go control panel -> ac3 config.
The default is 2ch stereo.
Hope this helps...

I did this already.

AC3FILTERS of Soundforge:
If I don't chose SPDIF as ouput, DVD's are only in Stereo. But DIVX/AC3 without sound at all. :-(

Any hint?

Use 'The Core Media Player' ( TCMP from http://corecoded.com ) and set audio device to SPDIF out ....
