The problem is that Pulldown.exe is a commandline program. You
need the GUI.

EDIT: Woops!

Get it here: http://www.digital-digest.net/downloads/files/gui/GUI_pulldown.exe

You need Visual Basic 6 runtimes also.

I've tried using the GUI with it and after reading your post i installed the visual basic 6 run-time files and pulldown.exe is still shutting down/closing on me?
Thanks

jerets, do this:

1> Start>run> type "CMD" > press return This will bring up a command window.
2> type the drive ("C:" or "D:" or whatever) and press return. Now you should see the drive in the command prompt like "D:>"
3> type "CD" + your directory where your files are. Like this "CD myfiles\rip" Press return and you should see that path in the prompt "D:\myfiles\rip>"
4> For convenience you should have pulldown.exe in this directory. Type "pulldown my23.976.mpv" and press return. Pulldown should start running. When it is finished you should have a file called pulldown.mpv which you can then mux.

@jerets

The latest Visual Basic 6 runtime from Microsoft doesn't include
the VB6 version of the file comctl32.ocx

I don't know why. I don't know of any 3rd party program that
includes it.

Just found where you can get the VB6 version of comctl32.ocx

http://www.xmlmania.com/downloads/comctl32.ocx

Hope that this helps.

EDIT:

Look in your Windows\System32 directory. If there is a
"comctl32.ocx" then right-mouse click on it and "unregister" it.

Then put the new version into the directory, right-mouse click,
and select "register."

An other way to run the program is to just drag and drop the .mpv file into the "Pulldown.exe" icon. When it is done, you will find your pulldown.d2v in "Documents and Settings" for Windows XP and "My Documents" for Windows 98.
