View Full Version : Extract certain menus and add afterwards?

I recently did a backup of my Disney Treasures R2 and did a re-author in DVD Shrink 3.0b5 like this: Copied ONLY the 26 animations from the 2 original discs into 3 different directories on my harddrive small enough to fit a DVD-R.
No compression (important :) ) and no extra material!

Since there is some space left in each folder now I wonder, is there an easy way to extract some of the original menus too (only those where you choose chapter), and add these into each DVD-R?

I've looked through the guides at doom9.org and VCDHelp.com but cannot find a similar situation (or maybe I'm just blind  )

Grateful for some help!!!!!!

in the past I have used my DVD player and took snapshots of the menu's. Using DVDLab I could then create my DVD importing the VOB's and menu pics creating all the links needed

it only allows for one soundtrack and no subtitles so it may not help

maybe menuedit may help as I think you can export buttons and bitmaps but I've never used it

the menu of commercial DVD's are stored most of the time in the vts_0x_0.vob, with for instance, chopper XP, it is easy to extract the menu video you need. To add them to your new DVD import the extracted video in you autoring software (I have done it with DVD workshop and it worked)

You can 100% definitely use multiple audios and subtitles when authoring with it. There's an undocumented workaround for it.

yeah, I know all about the adding extra streams as I've seen the guides, I just didn't add the info in this thread ;)

Where can i find it. Is it in one of your guides ? If so, in wich one ?
Cheers !

PS. I know i could find it strugling through the search function, but as it isn't sensitive with the quotes function i am obliged to read dozens of posts until i find the right one.
