I searched and didnt really find a good topic with this.
I made an image of my dvd movie that i have, but its dutsh subtitles. I downloaded a sub for my movie from a divx page. Can I somehow insert this to my dvdimage and then burn the sucker, watch it and choose swedish subtitle for the movie?
Is there more work to it? copy all vob and stuff to my drive and re-author it and stuff?
Any guide/page showing this?

jup, there's more to it... as you said this needs some (at least basic) reauthoring)
one thing that isn't fully clear though: are those dutch subs selectable or are they 'hardcoded' into the movie? if it is the latter you won't of course be able to remove the dutch subs!
Any guide/page showing this?
no there isn't a step by step guide for this specific problem, as it poses possible legal difficulties - and also it is too much of a specific problem as that it would really make sense to write a guide for this. but if you look through the DVDauthoring and advanced DVD backup guides (no one click apps...) i'm sure you'll find your way!

As killingspree put it, there isn't a step by step guide for this. But the main procedure is outlined in the dvd9 to 5 guide.
All u have to do is demux your streams, replace the dutch subs with the swedish and reauthor.

copy down the VOB and menus etc and re-autor the stuff. sounds like much job, but hey! I do want the swedish subs on this movie. I can stand the unsubbed, english audio, but my dad and mother dont hehe =)
thanks for the help, i will look into the guide dvd9 to 5
EDIT: found this URL to a guide: http://members.xoom.virgilio.it/_XOOM/divxgr/downloads/Add.Subs.To.DvD.Guide.By.TrustFm.v.4.exe

u should have studied more during your classical class. Greek is an excellent and the most mathematical language human kind ever evolved :)

It is indeed a good guide. Perhaps an email to the writer could give us the right to translate the guide and put it in this site.
