Movie Picture Problems

Hi!


i have this problem with the colors of my Divx and xvid Movies!

I noticed that the colors are way too dark and till now i used the ffdshow settings to fix that problem.

But the problem with ffdshow is that, the picture doesn't look DVD alike! If you make the picture Brighter, you start to
see every weakness of the compression.

Even wit very good and with high Bitrate encoded movies.

I thought it was normal but now i realized that the picture is only dark on the PC at my home!

On other PC's the picture is bright and has the colours it should have ( like on the DVD) but the same file plays too dark at my home PC.

At home i have the latest codec's installed together with ffdshow.

I have tryed everything from uninstalling all codec's and installing only the needed codecs using different versions etc.

Nothing has helped.

Please compare it with the picture you are experiancing on your pc's!

Xvid or Divx movies i have the problems with both codecs.

My Graphic card is comaparebale with others which show bright picture!

So it cant be an Hardware problem!

Since i have checked every codec version, i'm sure that it is an missconfiguration of the codecs maybe??

But how are they misconfigured?

I think it has to do something with using RGB or YUV. But i don't know how to apply these settings.

Changing these settings in ffdshow has no effect on the picture!!

Maybe someone could give me an ffpreset file who thinks that his setings are fine!

I see all your pictures perfectly. It definetly must have something to do with your settings, but cannot guess from here.

Do you happen to use your home PC for gaming? Did you try increasing the gamma on the video card?

I'm with r6d2. Everything looks perfectly normal. 7.jpg and 8.jpg are the same, by the way. I think I'd fool around with the overlay settings of my video card, if I were you. An NVidea GEForce card of some kind, perhaps?

yup everything is A-O-K! :D , maybe try messing with your gama.
