I was thinking of resizing the menu when re-encoding it, but i had a error which i have posted in the numenu4u thread.

But i also decided to try re-encoding the extras by adding in this in to the avs

crop(8,0,-8,0)
bicubicresize(352,576)

Now this should give me extras with similler good quality as a svcd as thats the res CVD's use.

Now this encodes ok as im doing a quick test on one of the extras. My quastion to you people is do i need to resize the subs aswell, if so how do i go about doing it and if so the easyest way possible.

I have no clue if you need to resize or not but (there's always a but ;) if you need to resize alot of images that is easily done in ACDSee, in Thumbnail mode just select them all (CTRL+A) and then [Tools] -> [Resize] (CTRL+R). Under options in Resize Window you can choose to Remove/Overwrite originals :)

From my limited understanding and personal experience, no resizing of the subs is needed. If you do, you will get misplaced or distorted subs during playback.

Some software players (e.g. PowerDVD 4) don't display subs properly when playing 1/2 D1 video (subs are displayed too far to the right). They play fine on the standalone. I first saw this on the DVD Demystified demo DVD.
