Hi All, im praying someone can help me coz its driving me mad.

My objective is to convert a svcd to a dvd-r to be played by most standard stand alone dvd players.

Ive followed many tutorials step by step and basically this is wot i have done.

1. Split Movie into 2 files (*.M2V and *.MP2)
2. Converted Audio to 48000hz

My Problem comes when trying to Author. If i leave the video resolution as 480x480 the vob files are created and everything is fine, but as 480x480 is not acceptable for DVD i have to encode the video to a different format.

My problem is that once ive re-encoded the video at a different resolution and authored to vob files the audio becomes way out of sync.

Could someone plz help me with getting the audio back in sync like it was when i left the resolution at 480x480.

Many ThnX in Advance.

Hello, UKScottH

Instead of re-encoding, did you try just patching you m2v (using, like... DVDpatcher ;) ). I know it's not fully DVD-compliant, but it fools many standalones...

Let me know.

Like pepipocpoc said the easiest way would be patching the files. If you dont want to do that try the program DVDLab, it lets you use 480x480 to author. It has a free 30 day trial, and is a very easy to learn and use. link (http://www.mediachance.com/)

Note: It'll join vobs, demux, trim, and change audio for you.
