Gordian Knot 0.28.6.2 reports very short duration for DivX AVIs that I've captured with VirtualDub. I have this problem on all my Win2K and XP systems. The frame count in the preview window is also truncated. For example 255686 is reported as 33185 frames on a 29.970 fps video. These are very large files on a networked NTFS drive--always over 4GB. I've heard of a 4GB avi limit, but these files play okay with MPC and MPC also reports the correct duration. Still, I fear the 4GB limit must be my problem.

I have to manually enter the duration after opening the file. If I forget, I'm very dissappointed with the results a day later :( (DivX Pro 5.1) Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't think GKnot supports huffyuv compression or even mjpeg (though I'm not sure on this one). When I open up my captures, I just create a simple avisynth script AviSource("test.avi") (but include the right path of ur captured avi) and it works fine in GKnot.
