Hi fibola. :)

Why don't you use DVD Shrink to rip and make a movie-only backup with "No Compression", and then use IC7 to compress if required?

If you're not familiar with DVD Shrink:
http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php

You could use either v2.3 or v3.0 beta 5, but v3.0 will remove PUOs, RCE and Macrovision. ;)

i heard about it but i understand that it does to the movie what dvd2one do , Am i wrong here ?
i used with dvd2one but the movie had sometimes jumping so i heard that ic7 is the best program (from the easy ones) but i cant make it work !!

so is dvdshrink is a rip program or a compresing program.

fibola, DVD Shrink is both a ripper and a "compressor".
But you can use its "Re-author" mode to make a movie-only (no menus, extras) backup, using "No Compression" so the video-stream will be left untouched.
Then simply use the files it generated with IC7.

Just use Dvd Shrink. I stopped using IC 7 months ago...
I think its a lot faster too.

Heck yeah! Its excellent! Especially the 3.0 beta with deep analysis. In my opinion, IC7 has no advantage at all...
I do try to keep the compression above 65 though...any lower and I go with the cce route using dvd2dvd

I usually attempt a pass with DVDShrink, even if the compression is down around 50%. It rarely turns out good enough, but occasionally it does and it doesn't take long.

The more backups I do, the more I feel that if Shrink can't put it on one disk, it needs to be split to two. In most cases, I find the overall quality of Shrink to be superior to CCE at equal compression factors.

Shrink exhibits more macroblock noise, but CCE produces much more mosquito noise, and of the two I find mosquito noise much more obnoxious.
