I am having problems with bsplayer and Windows Media Player, they wont play mpeg2 files properly.

First i installed PowerDVD and found that windows now used a powerdvd shared file as its decoder, so i deleted it, and wmp started using a MainConcept Mpeg2decoder instead, this was also crap, so i removed the shared file for mainconcept decoder and WMP started using a nero decoder to play mpeg2 files and this was the worst of them all.

In the end i had to restore all the files as i had errors with the programs associated with them (powerdvd, adobe premier)

Is there a way to change which mpeg decoder WMP uses as it just seems to decide its self, the same thing happens with bsplayer (the powerdvd decoder when used with bs player wont even give me a picture), thankyou for any reply's.

sorry if this doesent make sense, i am very tired :)

You can try the RadLight's Filter Manager (http://www.radlight.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=355&view=getnewpost) tool and change the merits of those filters.
