Iīm using Gordian Knot 0.28.5 and I want to add extra, manual gain when converting ac3 to mp3-Files.

I already tried using "azid -g xxdb" parameter, but that didnīt cause any gain, cause Gordian Knot AUTOMATICALLY uses the parameter "ota -hybridgain" which causes a gain of 10db for AC3 Files, but seems to ignore the extra gain in the "azid -g" Parameter.

What should I do?

i hd the same problem using the switches in GK, but the other way is
use mp3gain(freeware on sourceforge) and mp3trim pro to do the same.
The drawback is that, convert ur ac3 to mp3 using gk and later use the above to add gain.
hope this helps u.

You can use BeSweet GUI for this task. Under OTA (Overall track adjustments) -> second last checkbox -> use pregain and set manual gain value as 16db.( This value depends on you hearing level, try trial and error ;) ) Some times this value may be more than required and cause distortion.

I think this condition occurs when you are using Hybrid gain/Post Gain. If pregain is used the azid value is also taken into account.
