Hallelujah, I finally figured out what was keeping me from successfully burning 5.1 DTS discs with SurCode.. basically remember to turn off "normalize" function in Nero. *sheesh*
ok, now I've burned a 5.1 DTS CD, I want to play it back on my computer. WinDVD and PowerDVD both have some functionality, but I'm having trouble finding a version that plays the DTS disc in discreet 5.1. The closest I've found is WinDVD v 4.5 that plays FR, C, FL discreetly, but combines SL & SR!
I'm using some trial versions, some OEM versions, some borrowed versions but before I plunk down $50 - $60 for the whole package, my question is this: Can anyone here confirm that either PowerDVD or WinDVD will play back a DTS CD in discreet 5.1 surround? If so, which version: platinum, gold, 4.0, 5.0, etc.?
