I Need to make an avi file my friend made of a dvd he bought into an svcd as the quality aint that good, he aint gonna make it again as it took alot of work so this file is my only choice, vcd would make it unwatchable, well, only the dark nite scenes, daytime stuff is good, anyhoo, the file is 150 meg in size, 47 mins long.
Ive used nero to try and make the svcd, it encodes but when it comes to burning it after the 3 hours of encoding it says not enough space on cd, i have set overburn feature and my cd is 800 meg in size.
the file being burnt in nero says 840 meg in size and 96 mins, so i set overburn to 100 mins.

is there any way i can get this to work, i know svcd uses 20 meg a minute, so why is my file increased to 840 meg not 900 odd meg ??

will it work, or is the size or mins too long, if so, how the hell does anyone else make svcds, i`ve watched a few so its possible, but comes on, my file isn that big, 150 meg to start with, cant reduce quality any more can we ?

cheers.....
