I'm using dvdshrink 2.3 with no sucess. I followed the guide exactly and it creates a full set of vob ifo and bup files. I load them into primo prassi which fails burning right as it starts. When I burn with Nero it burns sucessfully but wont play. I've backed up many discs with other programs and know my player plays dvdr and I know I'm burning correctly so dvd shrink is giving me bunk files. I also tried ifoedit to pull out just the main movie, so dvdshrink will use less compression but got the same results. Completed sucessfully but provided files which were useless. I'm riping using Dvddecrypter if it makes any difference.

I forgot to mention I do all my ripping and processing on one computer then send the vob sets to another computer on the network which has my dvd burner. Is that perhaps affecting anythign??? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I suppose the files play OK on PC(s) using PowerDVD or WinDVD.
Also, you put files in VIDEO_TS folder and then burn. (Nero produces one automatically, but Shrink DOESN'T, not does Prassi.)
Also, why 2.3? Latest version is 3.05b. Much better.
Tranferring of files, IMHO, doesn't affect them. But u will find different opinions here.
Good Luck!

why don't you rip just the movie with DVDShrink?. You could also rip just the movie with DVDDecrypter also and update the IFO's

the older version of DVDFab (maybe the lite version too) is another option that would pull out just the movie

do the DVD's play back on your PC and have you tried them in another standalone?

what standalone player do you have?
