View Full Version : The best settings to encode a concert ?

Hello there everybody.
I am an advanced user of the program DVD2SVCD.I make really nice encodings.DVDlike.
But when it comes to encoding concertsthe result is not satisfactory.
I get alot of that "fly insect".
Could anyone help me ?

a "concert" is gonna be no different to encoding a "birthday party".
it depends how noisy the video is, lighting, motion, etc.
maybe if you were to describe the vid, and maybe post some screenies or a chunk of vob, people could give you tips.

One point I would make is that certain types of source (including concerts, adult material and come to that, birthday parties :) ) do not convert well.
Because bitrate is needed to record motion, things which are recorded with hand held equipment which cannot be held perfectly steadily, tend to record poorly at low bitrates. All you can do is spread it over a greater number of discs, I'm afraid.
