Ok, i'm not a beginner, but i can't get this thing running.
(excuse my german english)

System:
NEC 1300A with Herrie's Firmware 1.05f (it worked here fine)
Windows 2000 ServicePack3
Drive is at Secondary Master

What I tried so far:
(1) Just as it is with the windows installer, Problem: Software doesn't even recognize the drive, so i'm not having a problem with the actual flashing process.
(2) started in safe mode, the only drive at secondary and with master is the nec: still no success
(3) in addition to this i tried the suggestion from NEC's readme to set it in pio mode: guess what
(4) tried herrie's dos flasher to force the flash a bit more in case the windows thing is just to stupid: no result even here.

i'm exhausted and don't have a clue what's this thing about.
Does anybody else experienced such problems ?
Any suggestions are welcome (except Voodoo or other mysterious practices ;) )

It's a firmware from this guy for the NEC 1300A
http://herrie.rpc1.org

Thought people around here know him, cause i got the address from here.
Newer Firmware should support more things, right ?
So I want the new firmware on it.
Understandable isn't it ?
