hi
well it really depends on the divx 5 settings used aswell as the exact version of divx (5.05 or 5.1) if it is the latter it is likely that those speeds/times are normal!
anyway, please make yourself aware of the fact that you are violating rule 6 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) with your post as Matrix revolutions is not legally obtainable at the moment!

You can try DivX 5.1.1beta2,It is more faster than 5.1.Or wait some more days till the 5.1.1 is released.

how much quicker will it be? coz its taking me 24hrs to rip one pass with 5.1 and with 5.1.1 beta will it be fast? i mean like is it worth stopping this current one and restart with 5.1.1 beta? i am like 16 hrs into the 24 hrs basically.. but there needs to be a 2nd pass... !
thanx :D

I pointed this as you can try in another encode, which may be in near future before you get actual DivX 5.1.1.But as you started, then its not worthy changing the codec in middle. For a new one try it.
Bye
