googling, searching this forum, and reading stuff at doom9, vcdhelp etc are all faster than asking such simple questions here.

go get tmpgenc.

they say Nero can convert avi -> vcd, just load your *.avi into the video-cd option of nero and i can only guess what you're suppose to do next.

remember the easiest way, isn't always the best way.

nero's pretty bad at it though.

By far the easiest way is you have someone to do it for you. I can do it for 1 six-pack per encoding hour.

Of course you can also learn to do it by
:search: :readfaq:
and then charge six packs for doing it for somebody else. It's the latest fire-your-boss Internet business.

One way:

Use Avi2MPG2. Make sure that audio is 44.1K PCM(use BeSweet).

Use VirtualDub to interleave the audio, if necessary.

With Avi2MPG2 go to "Video Stream Settings" and pick "VideoCD."

Do the encode.

Nero should accept this.

If Nero says that the mpg needs to be re-encoded, then you did
something wrong. If you let Nero "correct" it, it will futz
it.

Nero wants an MPG multiplexed as VideoCD format. (Whatever that is).

(yeah, I've search and searched and search...no difinitive
