Camcorder to DVD [Archive]

Hi

As a newbie, I have got to copying film from my Hi8 (Analog) Camcorder to the Hard drive. How does one go about burning it to DVD please? I know one can use Pinnacle and such to edit and tidy.

Is there a guide here please?

Hi8 is analog, but if you were able to get it to PC, and it's in AVI, then the DV to DVD Guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60392) from the DV Forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=59) may be what you're looking for. DV is typically stored in AVI containers.
