Hi all, i have Res Dogs, and the original disk is around 5.3gig, so i was thinking that i might be able to remove all the extras, subs and addition sound leaving the picture of the movie intact, but what is the best way of doing this? Is there any way i can view the vob files to check what they are and remove the extras? I tried to play the .vob in powerdvd and it didnt seem to work, came up with an error.

hi,
sorry but you definitely have to do some basic reading! :)

anyway, you cannot simply delete parts of the vob files or even whole vobsets (VTS_0x_xx.vob). a DVD done this way will simply not work! or at least have serious flaws in it.

one of the easiest ways to achieve what you want is to use DVDshrink according to this guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdshrink3-main.htm) to make a main movie only copy!

there's a lot more possibilities with different degrees of complexity. all links to the appropriate guides can be found here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdbackup-guides.htm).

You can't view a -single- vob file directly off a dvd thats copy protected.
You should also do exactly what killingspree told you to do, and don't forget to READ!
